Sea Adventure: Sandy Island Pt. 2

Image
Where do I even start. My 2nd trip to Sandy Island was by far amazing than the first, enjoy reading my experience, I do hope you can experience this as well. Read about my 1st trip here : http://coconut3z.blogspot.com/2016/10/sandy-island-pt-1.html As usual, I woke at 7 am preparing myself for the trip, arriving on the jetty in Sauteurs at 9 am sharp. Food items were bought, including drinks and other essentials for our trip. On my 1st trip, we had used a small speed boat ( a small fishing boat with a powerful engine- West Indian term ), but on this trip ( Talk about upgrade) we went  with a slightly bigger fishing boat (Pleasure boat). This was good because the sea was sort of choppy that morning. To by pass the feeling of being sea sick, we gave jokes (silly stuff) on our way up. Finally touch down on Sandy Island, we cleared all items off both boats; then food preparation started. Some of the guys decided to go spear fishing/ free diving just off from the island; for ...

Hiking: Levera National Park

DARING FRIENDS MAKE THE EXPERIENCE 2X BETTER.  Left picture: walking down to Bathway (popular beach on the northern side)   Right picture: while walking, the rain decided to bless our adventure, we hop or begged for a ride to avoid being soak.  Taking in the view after the sun decided to peek out from behind the clouds. Here's an idea- let's swing like kids again.  While swinging on the mangrove root, being all funny and happy. Then this happened, an unexpected fall. Lesson learnt, never swing on a mangrove root- Nah!! I'll def be doing it again.  The hidden gem of Levera. While exploring our surrounding, guess what they found a jelly fish (Portuguese man-of-war). Heated debate on whether it was an actual Portuguese man-of-war.

The Beach bum.

favorite place to go to- Secluded.       To get away from reality, I run to her shore.  I collect memories; forgotten shells wash up from the bottom of her sea bed floor once occupied by some sea creature unknown, sea fans and dried sea weeds, broken glasses turned into perfect shaped stones, unusual shells all meant to be, part of my memory. Too feel the sand beneath my feet, my toes, sun beating my skin; my body is speaking. As I lay down the sand welcome me with a warm embrace, to close my eyes only to be kiss by the radiance of the sun rays while listening to the ocean sing here favorite song. Exfoliate my skin and feet, before i dive in. Serenity- At peace when i'm beneath a sea grape tree or maybe just on a wooden jetty.  Absorption of nature all around;sea urchins, sea weeds, fishes, mollusks ,star fish, coral reef, isolated islands, green vegetation all around. I...

Image
Definition: 1. Limin' -To hangout with friends, To Socialize. 2. Leh we buss ah lime - I was thinking we should really go and enjoy a good period of rest and relaxation, which may include alcohol. Random Sunday, i'm bored ,tired, lazy mood activated; with no intention of stepping out my house. At times, friends can come along and save your boredom day with just a simple, Lime. A trip to the beach was what my soul needed, call it detox if you may. As usual, when "we" ,Caribbean people lime or should i say Grenadians lime, food must be present along with drinks, preferably alcohol or not. Check list: * Large pot of  chicken and rabbit brown down. * Cooler with Beers/ Rum and chaser ( Chaser- Solution used to dilute rum mixture) * Great scenery i.e. Beach * Genuine people with laughter, kixxs, smiles  * Memory Did i mention the moon was out in her glory that night, to be quite honest, when ever i look at the moon reflecting on the ocea...

(473) 415-2670 location: Grand Anse                       On August 15th , we decided to try this French Creole cafe opposite the GYC (Grenada Youth Center) in Grand Anse. The experience was some what okay, the environment was calm with a quiet scenery, there's also a hotel called Siesta and a Natural Healing therapy SPA in that same compound, and a pool too- $10 to use the pool by the way. The foods was amaze-balls, all creole down to the bottle water- nah I'm joking about the water part. But yea it was really tasty, the price range was fairly reasonable (nothing over $50), they even made various local fruit juice and milkshakes; by far the best I've had was the "Bread pudding with rum sauce" -duhh rum!! I had Crepe with lemon a...
