Experiencing a Super Blood Moon

Image
Eeekkkkkk!!! OMG!!!  <-- This basically sums up my expression and feelings of witnessing this amazing moment. My 1st time ever experiencing a Super Blood Moon and lunar eclipse, and it was amazing: for those whom witness such might feel the same, I think. It started at 8:15am and ended at 12 am with the moon phasing into an eclipse, then slowly turning red. I must say the constant checking, mosquitoes bites, snap chatting and annoying your friends on whether they're looking on was all worth it. Of course my Galaxy S3 was not doing justice in getting good quality picture as a professional would but I tried neither the less.

Turtle watching at Levera Beach

Image
It's the season for Leather back turtles to come ashore and lay their eggs, an experience for tourist and locals alike. The tour is spear-headed by SPECTO , they assign tour guides to various groups to view these beautiful creatures. Before embarking, the tour guides will give valuable information about the Leather back turtles and what is expected from the visitors, such as garbage should not be thrown on the beach, if there's a need to use your phone to take a picture no flash should be used as this may cause blindness to the animal or cause them to return back to sea, no loud talking cause this may disturb their natural habitat and more. To experience this magical event  one would need to call and reserve a spot for a long night visit to see these turtles, a good outing for family, friends, co-workers etc.  On arriving to Levera beach, we waited for almost an hour before a turtl...

To Catch a Crayfish

Image
Yaaaaa, my 2nd time hunting crayfish and I caught more than I did the very 1st time. Things you will need: -Preferably a young nutmeg branch (they're very strong, not easily broken) -Nylon twine -Fish hook or it can be man-made with wire and a foil -Earthworms as bait -Coconut husk -A plastic bag -A hunting knife - A cutlass    Apparently crayfish like eating coconut flesh/ husk, you chew a piece of coconut until it becomes fine, after which you spit the milk out of your mouth- don't drink it or you'll get major belly ache. With the fine coconut grounded in your mouth with no milk,  simply spray the flesh scattering it around the area or pool, wait for the crayfish to come out and to start feeding, then lower your rod in the pool. Once you're certain of your catch, hook and pull up placing your catch into the plastic bag (still haven't mastered the hooking technique) and that's basically it. You can keep doing this until bait or coconut is finish...

(473) 415-2670 location: Grand Anse                       On August 15th , we decided to try this French Creole cafe opposite the GYC (Grenada Youth Center) in Grand Anse. The experience was some what okay, the environment was calm with a quiet scenery, there's also a hotel called Siesta and a Natural Healing therapy SPA in that same compound, and a pool too- $10 to use the pool by the way. The foods was amaze-balls, all creole down to the bottle water- nah I'm joking about the water part. But yea it was really tasty, the price range was fairly reasonable (nothing over $50), they even made various local fruit juice and milkshakes; by far the best I've had was the "Bread pudding with rum sauce" -duhh rum!! I had Crepe with lemon a...
